11/14/2008 - New Pics are now up! There are quite a few new pictures up on the picture page here and on MySpace. Go check em out, and if you haven't added me on myspace, please do! The pictures were done by my great friend Jeff Resta. And he and Jason Voinov should be thanked constantly. Thanks guys! -JS 11/05/2008 - A great day in America Yesterday was a great day for America. And while I was confident of the results before yesterday, I spent most of the day holding my breath and hoping that the country would do the right thing. And it did. Now, hopefully, this country can get it's reputation back. On another note: new pictures will be posted here and on MySpace soon! Also if you are on facebook, look me up there too! -JS 9/11/2008 - Sydney Wakefield: Into the Faraway My brilliant sister, Kim, has a book available titled Sydney Wakefield: Into the Faraway for those kiddos interested in fantasy/history/harry potter-esque genre. Please go check out her website and order her book! Also, there is a music cue on that page written by yours truly specifically for the book! Thanks! -JS 8/14/2008 - Another New Song Posted and the bad news The third new song from the upcoming album 'Euporia' is now posted on MySpace called 'The Dark New Day.' Go on over, listen, and chill out. It will be the last new song posted to listen to until the release of the album. Unfortunately, I have received news that the original projected release of September has now been moved to November, which is slightly upsetting, I understand. But what can I do? It's out of my control. -JS 07/25/2008 - 'Euphoria' cover art Go on over to MySpace and check out the cover art for the upcoming album! It looks really nice. And don't forget to become a myspacer and add me! Another new song from Euphoria will be added in a few days! Thanks! -JS 7/07/2008 - New Song Posted! The second new song from the upcoming album 'Euporia' is now posted on MySpace called 'Discovering the Euphoric Mind (chittananda).' Go on over, listen, and chill out. Another song will be posted in August! -JS 6/06/2008 - New Song Posted! The first new song from the upcoming album 'Euporia' is now posted on MySpace called 'The Collective Rebirth.' Go on over, listen, and chill out. Another song will be posted soon! -JS 5/19/2008 - New Pictures New pictures have been posted on the Images page. Go check em out! -JS 5/12/2008 - Better late than never? I have created a MySpace page about 2 or 3 years late. If you're a member, please come add me as your friend! Thanks! -JS 5/07/2008 - Obama/Clinton When this site became what it is, I decided that my 'news' section won't have any posts about politics (since everyone, including me, can get really worked up about politics or religion). However, my two cents on the Obama/Clinton nomination process: They should just get together and do a best of 7 'farkle' (rock, paper, scissors) for it. I think that will prove just enough competence needed for the esteemed position known as President. That is all. -JS 5/06/2008 - Over a month? Seriously? Well, obviously there's no new pictures up. I really don't know where time goes anymore. The new album terms have been officially agreed upon with New World Music and I'm getting close to finishing up the disc. Recording should be finished by early next week and then mixing will commence. The new cd should be a few minutes over 50 and will pack a few 'vintage Still' tracks as well as progressing into the blended style that I've been wanting to delve into over the last few years. I'll have samples of some tracks up before the release, so that's something for you all to look forward to. -JS 3/27/2008 - Move completed Ok, so I haven't been able to keep up with making posts. Over the last 3 months I've moved, rebuilt my studio, and have been hard at work writing for the new album. It's been fairly fruitful regardless of the lack of posts. Anyway, I should have some new pictures up of the new place in the next few weeks, so stick around! -JS 12/29/2007 - A cuppa Joe Well, I have officially begun working on a new album. And good news - Joe Hanish (multi-talented musician, computer guru, and friend , also responsible for building this site) has already sung on a few tracks. After being missed on 'The Awakening', Joe returns to reprise his contributions made on 'Under the Bodhi Tree'. I believe he can be heard singing on "Oddtimes". This is great news, and I can already tell you that no one will be disappointed! -JS 12/25/2007 - Happy Holidays! I hope everyone had a nice holiday season and that the New Year finds you well! -JS 12/03/2007 - Borders follows suit! In January, Borders will also begin selling 'The Awakening' in stores! This just adds more good news following Barnes and Noble's announcement to do a January promotion. Again, special thanks to Jan and Tanya. -JS 11/19/2007 - Barnes and Noble getting onboard! In January, Barnes and Noble will begin selling 'The Awakening' in 250 stores! This is incredibly good news and I'd like to thank Jan Hale, Tanya Aziere, and everyone at New World for creating the circumstances in which this could happen. Thanks! And thanks Barnes and Noble! -JS 11/12/2007 - 'The Awakening' US Release Tomorrow "The Awakening" will be officially released tomorrow in the US on November 13. You can purchase it at the New World site. It is also available at iTunes, Amazon, eMusic, Allegro, and many other online retailers so please feel free to GO GET IT. And while you're there, if you don't have it already, please pick up a copy of "Under the Bodhi Tree". If you do buy something from any place, please take the time to go back and give feedback and ratings. That sort of thing really helps over time. Thanks! Again, I apologize for the long lay-off between postings, but I have been so overloaded with projects that it has been near impossible. In some ways it's a good thing, but other aspects suffer and this just happens to be one of those things. With the holidays coming up, things should slow down for a short period of time and hopefully I'll have some news worthy of posting regularly. -JS 10/2/2007 - US Release Date "The Awakening" is slated to be released in the US on November 1. You will be able to find it at the New World site (which I'll have a link to from the Audio page) and many other online retailers. It is ALREADY available on iTunes, so please feel free to GO GET IT. And while you're there, if you don't have it already, pick up a copy of "Under the Bodhi Tree" too! -JS 10/1/2007 - The Apology Ok, so I'm sorry that there's been some time between news updates. I've been incredibly busy with ads, shows, and films that I can barely see straight. I'll do my best to keep adding to this as news comes in. I swear I will! -JS 8/18/2007 - New Pictures Up There are many new pictures up on the 'Images' page. If you've recently visited the picture page, you will need to clear your cache. I will periodically update this page as new pictures are taken. The viewer rocks, but if you'd like to save them, just open them up in a new window and you can save it from there. -JS 8/13/2007 - Website Launched Welcome! Thanks to my great friend Joe Hanish, and the guys over at Consulting Accelerated, I now have a website available to keep everyone updated with all the events going on in my career, but more specifically, with my solo/new age endeavors. This site will have plenty of news updates, audio sample streaming, biographical info, and many other tidbits over time. Feel free to browse often, and thanks for your support! -JS 8/13/2007 - 'The Awakening' released in Europe My newest release, 'The Awakening', was officially released in Europe today. It marks the beginning of what I hope are many milestones in the future for this cd. It is the first album that I produced and engineered by myself, and I feel a major personal accomplishment in that. It's the first release since 'Under the Bodhi Tree', which won the 2007 Independent Music Award for new age album, and the 2007 Best New Age Album given by the Coalition of Visionary Resources (COVR). There are quite a few samples to stream on the 'Audio' page to whet your palate. Everyone in the UK and throughout Europe, enjoy! -JS |
